Hilton Head course guide

Hilton Head Plantation Golf Courses

Hilton Head Plantation on the north end of the island contains three courses: two semi-private clubs open to outside play — Oyster Reef and Dolphin Head — and the private Country Club of Hilton Head, reserved for members. The plantation sits along Skull Creek with views across the Intracoastal Waterway.

Rees Jones

Oyster Reef Golf Club

A Rees Jones design that makes full use of the Intracoastal Waterway and tidal marsh along Skull Creek. Several holes play directly alongside the water, and the routing demands accurate club selection when the coastal wind picks up. One of the most scenic semi-private courses on the island, with a strong finishing stretch.

Gary Player

Dolphin Head Golf Club

A Gary Player design routed through the maritime forest and marsh edges of Hilton Head Plantation. The course plays shorter than Oyster Reef but rewards strategic positioning — Player's routing uses natural features to frame approach shots and create risk-reward decisions throughout the round.

Rees Jones

Country Club of Hilton Head

A private 18-hole Rees Jones design within Hilton Head Plantation, reserved exclusively for members and their guests. The course offers a quieter, more traditional club experience than the semi-private options in the plantation. No public tee times are available.
