Hilton Head course guide

Palmetto Hall Golf Courses

Palmetto Hall Plantation in north Hilton Head Island is home to two 18-hole courses — one by Arthur Hills and one by Robert Cupp — set within a gated residential community off Squire Pope Road. Both courses are semi-private, open to outside play with a tee-time reservation.

Arthur Hills

Arthur Hills Course at Palmetto Hall

A rolling, tree-lined layout with elevation changes uncommon for the Lowcountry. Hills routed the course through mature hardwoods and pines, producing a series of demanding approach shots and a memorable finishing stretch. The course rewards accurate iron play and penalizes wayward drives with tight corridors and well-placed bunkers.

Robert Cupp

A longer, more angular design that challenges players with bold geometric bunkering and wide fairways that demand precise target selection. Cupp's layout plays differently from the Hills course — more open in character, with a premium on distance management and course management from the tee.
